PADI Open Water Diver

Slowly submerge yourself into a new and spectacular marine environment.
The PADI Open Water Diver certification is our entry level course, during which you'll learn the fundamental skills and knowledge of diving, to allow you to safely scuba dive in open water down to a maximum of 18 meters.
When you successfully complete this fun filled course you and your buddy will be able to explore and discover the many wonders of the underwater world. All your hard work will have earned you a PADI Open Water Diver card that is recognized and accepted world wide!
Now is the time to start your underwater adventure and meet some fantastic like minded people.
What You Will Learn
There are five knowledge development sections contained in your Open Water Manual and DVD that briefly and effectively impart crucial diving information. This independent study, which you may complete in the comfort of your own home, is supplemented with knowledge reviews and classroom sessions designed to reinforce learning and offer an easy way for you to get answers to all your questions.
Five pool sessions allow you to master the basic diving skills that enable you to safely embard on all your future diving adventures.
Then come four open water dives, done over 2 days with an instructor, where you demonstrate all skills you have learnt. These dives can be done on a Big Blue trip or you also have the option of taking what you've learnt and completing the course at a destination of your choice. We'll even help you find a reputable dive centre, if you let us know your preferred location.
On successful completion of the course you earn a PADI Open Water Certification card, which is valid for life and is recognized around the world.
How Do You Get Started
As long as you are 12 years old (10-11 yr olds at Big Blue's discretion) and in good physical condition, you can enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course. All you need to do is sign up for your class, grab your bathing suit, and get ready for FUN!

* Note: Our charges aim to be all-inclusive, without any hidden costs. The charge includes all text books, instructor fees, dive equipment and training facility fees. It also includes the transportation, accommodation, all meals, bottled water in our trips. A trip insurance is included on all Big Blue trips.

Application
- Fill in Medical Statement, Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement and Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding (Download Forms: ZIP File)
- Hand in one passport photograph (or send in a digital one by email)
- Pay the course training fees (can be paid in 6 months)
- Collect the training materials, which are available in English and Chinese
